This is a full-time, fast-paced, and varied role that’s ideal for someone with a flair for storytelling, an eye for compelling content, and a finger firmly on the pulse of social media and current affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social media management: Support the day-to-day running of our corporate and consumer-facing social media channels, drafting and scheduling posts, sourcing content, and monitoring performance.
- Content creation: Develop engaging and on-brand copy for press releases, social posts, blogs, statements, video scripts, and more.
- Website: Update and manage website content using Magnolia CMS, working closely with the Product team to ensure key changes are implemented across all D&G websites in line with brand and business priorities.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders across the business to spot stories, coordinate comms plans, and align messaging.
- Media relations: Support press office activity, including media monitoring, drafting reactive comments, and engaging with journalists.
- Campaign delivery: Help activate our external campaigns across multiple channels - from corporate milestones and delivering our Employee Value Proposition, to community impact and product innovation.
- Issues support: Assist with reputation management and issues response, supporting the team to monitor, prepare, and respond.
- Measurement and insight: Track performance of our communications across earned and owned channels to demonstrate impact and inform strategy.
Skills and experience required:
- Solid foundation in communications, with the ability to create clear, engaging content and manage multiple tasks across channels.
- Capable of working across different functions and adapting messaging for different audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
- A strong grasp of written English, stakeholder engagement, and social media are essential.
- Sufficient organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A passionate advocate for the power of social media, using digital platforms to shape public perception and elevate how D&G is seen.
