Are you looking to progress in your dental career? We are seeking two enthusiastic team players to join our well established Oral Health Promotion Team.
We are looking for two dental nurses to support an expansion of fluoride varnish in Primary Schools as part of a wider health prevention plan. In addition, the role will see delivery of oral health education sessions to Key Stage 3 pupils in Secondary Schools.
The post holders must be qualified to apply fluoride varnish, and experience in delivering evidence based key oral health messages would be advantageous.
The post holders must be willing to travel across Hywel Dda either in their own vehicles or in the vans provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services to almost 400,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. The role will require integration with an experienced oral health promotion team to role out an expansion of fluoride varnish to year 6 pupils across eligible school sin Hywel Dda. As a GDC registrant, you will be expected to apply and adhere to professionals standards and work within your scope of practice.
In addition, the post holder will be required to support development and delivery of oral health education sessions to Key Stage 3 pupils using evidence based research.
The posts are 4 days a week term time only . The post holders will be based at Phil Bennett OBE Community Resource Centre, Llanelli, SA14 8BE.
The closing date for this post is 01/07/2025 and interviews will be held in Haverfordwest on 10/07/2025. The candidates will be expected to present a 5 minute power point during the interview. The posts will commence on 01/09/2025.
