About the role
We have positions across Darwin and Alice Springs, encompassing part-time and casual roles.
As an Independent Living Coach, you will work as part of a team to provide person-centred support to people living with a disability, aligned with the participant’s NDIS goals to live a good life. This involves facilitating participants to acquire independent living skills and supporting them to reach their potential in the home environment and in the community.
Your role includes working with the house team to oversee and support meal preparation, food budgeting, grocery shopping, medication administration, personal care, and transporting participants to recreational activities and appointments.
About you
We are seeking someone passionate and experienced in supporting people with disabilities, with a strong work ethic and the ability to build positive relationships with participants and team members.
In addition, you will demonstrate:
You will also need to hold (or be able to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid certificate, and NT Driver's Licence.
