Expression of Interest - Principal Electrical / EICA Engineer - Water Sector, Birmingham

Join Stantec and help us tackle the urgent climate, environmental, and efficiency challenges facing our communities.

This is an expression of interest ahead of AMP 8. We are open to speaking with potential Principal Electrical Engineers to join our team in the South West and Midlands.

This role can be based out of our offices in Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Derby, or Redditch, where you will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing EICA design services for a range of projects.

As an experienced EICA Engineer, you will work in multidisciplinary teams, liaising with Project Managers, Design Managers, Design Engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve positive project outcomes. You will be involved from concept design through to detailed design, feasibility studies, site surveys, and investigations.

About You

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Chartered or Incorporated status preferred.
• Several years’ experience in EICA engineering design, including technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, drawings, and reports.
• Ability to produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams, and contribute to multidisciplinary outputs like GAs, 3D models, and P&ID diagrams.
• Understanding of DSEAR regulations is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for technical presentations and collaborative discussions.
• Experience in the Water sector or related sectors like energy, infrastructure, or environmental fields.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities for junior engineers.
