This role is an expression of interest ahead of AMP 8. We are open to speaking with Electrical Engineers and Senior Electrical Engineers interested in joining our teams in London, Reading, or High Wycombe. The role offers hybrid working, combining in-office and home working, ideal for Electrical Engineers seeking to advance their careers within an industry-leading consultancy working on exciting water sector projects.
At Stantec, we are expanding rapidly. We collaborate with top water clients across the UK on some of the most impactful water projects in the industry, supporting sustainable development and infrastructure that mitigates climate change effects.
In this role, you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle—from Front-End Engineering Design to detailed design, installation, construction support, and consultancy work involving specialist input for internal projects for clients and partners.
Projects include water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. Current projects include:
Wessex Water & South West Water – involved in several AMP8 frameworks.
We support our Electrical Engineers with career development, including support for chartership or other professional growth opportunities.

You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Ideally, you are progressing towards Chartership or are Incorporated, with experience in EICA design.
You should be skilled in writing technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, reports, and familiar with collaborative reviews and design solutions.
You can produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams, and contribute to collaborative design outputs like General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and P&I diagrams.
Experience in the water sector is advantageous, but experience in energy, infrastructure, or environmental sectors is also valued.
