We have a unique opportunity for a candidate with recent experience in the Catastrophe Insurance field, who also has an academic science background (Masters or PhD) in Climate Change, Flooding, Geology, or a similar area of study, to join this Lloyd's Syndicate in a high-profile Research and Validation role.

They are offering a salary up to £85,000 plus an excellent range of benefits. This role is immediately available and is based in their City of London offices 3 days per week and 2 days at home.

Focusing on reviewing Catastrophe Modelling output to offer succinct and validated information to the Underwriters, the company as a whole, and external interested parties.

This will probably suit someone who has worked on similar projects to research, analyze, and validate Catastrophe models for possible future Catastrophe exposures within the Lloyd's market.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are key, as you will be presenting to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have experience with Verisk or RMS. You will also have technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. Additional familiarity with other coding/statistical software such as R-Studio, Python, and/or Visual Basic would be preferred.

This is a great team to work in—hard-working and sociable—and this role will offer you the opportunity to work across the whole business.

This is such an interesting role, so if you have the relevant experience in the Lloyd's market plus the academic knowledge too, then please apply today to discuss this role in detail.
