How you will create an impact

This role is ideal for someone with some insurance experience seeking to grow in exposure management. You will develop technical and communication skills within a top Lloyd’s syndicate.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the Lead Exposure Analyst in managing exposures for energy and marine classes
2. Overseeing the Exposure Management Wiki tool for these classes
3. Using SQL to interrogate databases
4. Ensuring Talbot maintains a comprehensive view of risk across these classes
5. Contributing to risk development workstreams
6. Maintaining exposure controls and reporting for accurate aggregate risk assessment
7. Assisting with the RDS process and regulatory submissions
8. Liaising with underwriting, risk, reinsurance, and group functions on exposure activities
9. Providing value-added analytics to the business
10. Supporting planning of reinsurance programs through aggregate monitoring
11. Assisting with event response activities to assess financial impacts
12. Peer-reviewing team approaches and proposals

What you’ll need to succeed

• A degree in a relevant subject
• At least 1 year of experience in a related role (e.g., catastrophe modeling, exposure management, model vendor)
• Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python
• An interest in energy and marine sectors
• A desire to develop expertise in exposure management
