We're looking for an

Exposure Management Analyst

Based in London reporting to the Exposure Manager this professional will work closely with underwriting teams based in London and the US to provide Exposure Management and Catastrophe Modelling support.

What you will do

  • Collaborate closely with underwriting teams to evaluate catastrophe (re)insurance submissions
  • Lead all modelling and portfolio maintenance tasks for the assigned class of business
  • Process and analyse natural catastrophe submissions using multiple catastrophe modelling platforms, including AIR and HARP (proprietary system)
  • Communicate modelled outputs to underwriting teams, delivering pricing summaries and detailed exposure assessments
  • Provide data analytics and reporting support to underwriting, risk, and analytics teams
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations on the company’s catastrophe exposure profile
  • Oversee the relationship with the third-party vendor responsible for data cleansing and modelling
  • Participate in meetings focused on the development of automation and workflow enhancement tools
  • Support catastrophe response efforts as required
  • Prepare exposure data for outward reinsurance submissions
  • Handle ad-hoc exposure management tasks requested by underwriters
  • Assist in the completion of regulatory requirements
  • Stay informed on catastrophe model updates and relevant industry developments

What you require for the role

  • Proficient in using the AIR modelling platform; experience with RMS is a valuable addition
  • Skilled in modelling Direct Property within Touchstone; familiarity with other lines of business is beneficial
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with additional programming languages such as Visual Basic and Python is advantageous
  • Passionate about leveraging technology to solve problems and enhance operational efficiency
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical & critical thinking skills with a willingness to learn
