Job summary

HFG, in partnership with a multinational reinsurance group, seeks a qualified or near-qualified Exposure Management Actuary to design and own the exposure-management framework, including data, catastrophe models, analytics, and reporting.

The role offers significant international exposure with executive-level visibility, and travel to South America to assess catastrophe risk as the reinsurer expands into new markets.

Qualifications

• Qualified or near-qualified Actuary with exposure management experience.

Responsibilities

• Build a critical capability from the ground up, owning the exposure-management framework, data, catastrophe models, analytical tools and reporting.
• Influence underwriting, portfolio optimisation, risk appetite, capital allocation and retrocession purchasing, with visibility at senior levels.
• Work internationally on complex catastrophe risk, covering South America, with hands-on modelling and international travel to support market expansion.

• Work internationally on complex catastrophe risk - the role covers significant natural-catastrophe exposure across South America, combines hands-on technical modelling with international travel, and offers the opportunity to support a growing reinsurer as it expands into new markets.
