Role: Export Sales Engineer – Marine – Bespoke Design & Built Marine Engines

Location: Southern England, Office Based, with global coverage

Salary: Competitive basic and pension at 4%

Role Overview

My client is a leading distributor across three diverse sectors. They are seeking a high-quality Export Sales Engineer to drive global growth of their customized submersible marine engine solutions, primarily for the Defence sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling their bespoke, custom-built range of engines worldwide. They will work closely with an International Sales Agent to develop sales, respond to enquiries, and provide solution-based offerings after customer consultations.

This role is office-based with monthly international visits for trade shows and engine demonstrations.

Reporting Line

The role reports to a Sales Engineering Manager.

Candidate Profile
  • Proven export sales experience required.
  • Ideally, experience in selling engine or propulsion-based products. Candidates with strong technical backgrounds seeking to move into sales will also be considered.
  • Experience in Marine Defence markets is preferable.
  • Must be able to commute to a Southern-based office and willing to travel overseas approximately twice a month.
  • Technically strong with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers.
