Job description

I am recruiting for an Export Logistics Coordinator for an FMCG business that supplies products globally.

The Export Coordinator will handle operational, administrative, and compliance tasks involved in transporting products from suppliers to customers worldwide.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Prepare and verify export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, shipping instructions, etc.)
  2. Ensure documents comply with customs regulations and import/export requirements of respective countries
  3. Coordinate with banks for letters of credit documentation
  4. Maintain accurate records for audits and legal compliance
  5. Arrange bookings with freight forwarders and shipping lines
  6. Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to ensure goods are ready for dispatch
  7. Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  8. Resolve delays or discrepancies in shipping schedules
  9. Serve as the main contact between the company, freight agents, and overseas clients
  10. Update customers on shipment status and expected delivery dates
  11. Handle inquiries and resolve complaints related to shipments
  12. Request and compare freight quotations to secure competitive rates
  13. Check and approve freight invoices and other shipping charges
  14. Follow up on payments and ensure all financial documentation is complete
