Job description

Job title: Import/Export Clerk

Reports to: Import Manager

Main purpose of the role:

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual who has had at least 5 years of general forwarding experience, especially in Exports.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work according to the export process, including all country-specific requirements.
  • Responsible for customer contacts.
  • Assist in supplier and customer queries.
  • Assure timely billing as per company policy.
  • Deal with all aspects of Exports.
  • Handle all customer issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure correct flow of documentation.
  • Able to work independently within the export process.
  • Manage all export shipments from start to finish.
  • Understand supplier conditions, delivery terms, Inco terms, and purchasing conditions.
  • Possess good knowledge of computer systems and invoicing.
  • Have knowledge and experience of Customs and documentation.
  • Exhibit good communication skills.
  • Able to manage own working time effectively.

Salary: £32k - £35k dependent on experience.

Hours: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm.

Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays.
