Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager to lead export control activities across Dunfermline or Gateshead. You will manage licences, engage with authorities and develop processes to ensure compliance while enabling business growth in commercial and naval programmes.

The role requires extensive knowledge of UK/EAR/ITAR regulations, experience in regulated industries, and strong stakeholder engagement to support cross-functional teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in export control or regulatory roles.
• Strong knowledge of UK export control legislation and licensing requirements.
• Experience with defence/naval or highly regulated industries.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage export license applications and related documentation.
• Act as primary contact with authorities.
• Develop and maintain export control processes and guidelines.
• Provide training on export control requirements across the organization.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into business requirements.
• Represent the company in regulatory inspections and audits.
• Coordinate with US counterparts on authorisation and trade compliance.
