Job summary

JM Civalleri, a civil and construction engineering firm, is seeking an Export Control Compliance Officer in the UK to oversee export controls and sanctions compliance. You will partner with project teams and leadership to manage risk and implement a robust compliance framework enabling international growth.

The role targets professionals with 3–5 years of experience who can develop policy, deliver trainings, and monitor regulatory developments within an engineering-led environment.

Qualifications

• Provide guidance on export control regulations and sanctions obligations.
• Assess and manage export control risk across the firm.
• Review and classify technology and projects against export control lists.
• Support licences and authorisations with authorities.
• Develop and deliver training on export control awareness.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update policies and controls.
• Conduct internal audits and due diligence for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice on export control regulations and sanctions obligations.
• Assess and manage internal and external risk related to export controls.

• Support preparation and submission of export licences and authorisations.
