Job summary

Fractile in London is seeking an experienced Export Compliance Officer to own and operate our global trade controls for AI hardware. You will lead ECCN classifications, manage UK ECJU and US BIS licensing, and supervise denied party screening across customers, vendors, and hires.

You will design scalable policy frameworks, train teams on controlled technology transfers, and maintain audit-ready records for regulator inquiries, while partnering with engineering and commercial groups to keep

Qualifications

• 5+ years of trade compliance experience in tech/semi scale-up/multinational.
• Working mastery of UK ECJU rules and US deemed exports; sanctions regimes.
• Ability to translate hardware/software specs into precise ECCN classifications.
• Experience implementing and operating automated screening.
• Ability to build smooth, low-friction compliance processes with fast-moving teams.

Responsibilities

• Trade Compliance Operations: act as Export Compliance Officer for licenses, audits, and enforcement.
• Lead ECCN/classifications for Fractile technology and products; manage licensing processes (UK ECJU, US BIS).
• Oversee denied party screening workflows across customers, vendors, and hires.
• Assist with customs compliance and IT control implementations.
• Maintain audit-ready records and engage regulators as needed.
