Job description

Job Title: Import/Export Clerk

Reports to: Import Manager

Main Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual with at least 5 years of general forwarding experience, especially in exports.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Follow the export process, including all country-specific requirements.
  2. Manage customer contacts and assist with supplier and customer queries.
  3. Ensure timely billing in accordance with company policy.
  4. Handle all aspects of exports and resolve customer issues.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and ensure the correct flow of documentation.
  6. Work independently within the export process and manage export shipments from start to finish.
  7. Understand supplier conditions, delivery terms, Incoterms, and purchasing conditions.
  8. Maintain good knowledge of computer systems and invoicing.
  9. Possess knowledge and experience of customs procedures and documentation.
  10. Exhibit good communication skills and manage time effectively.

Additional Details

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays
