The Team

We are looking for an Associate to join our Export & Agency Finance (EAF) team in London. EAF is a key growth area within our Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance business, with a presence in multiple cities and plans for expansion.

The role focuses on EMEA deal origination support and structuring, utilizing partnerships with Export Credit Agencies, Multilateral Agencies, and Development Finance Institutions to provide risk mitigation or funding for large-scale projects. Strong marketing and structuring skills are essential.

You will support the origination and execution of EAF opportunities, working with a supportive and collaborative team. Over time, the role is expected to become independent with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with EMEA-based Agencies for global opportunities.
  • Support origination, structuring, execution, and syndication of EAF transactions in EMEA.
  • Develop internal strategies for EMEA EAF and coordinate cross-border deal structuring.
  • Travel within the region for deal origination and present financing ideas.
  • Prepare financing proposals for senior management approval.
  • Coordinate with product partners for joint pitches.
  • Negotiate deals with borrowers and work towards financial close.
  • Identify product gaps and drive innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure responsible growth and risk management.
  • Support marketing efforts to increase visibility of the EAF business.
  • Work with partners to syndicate transactions and prepare credit materials.
  • Partner with ESG groups to identify priority transactions.
What We Are Looking For
  • Relevant experience in EAF or related debt/credit structuring.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong numerical, cash flow modeling, and pricing skills.
  • Ability to learn policies quickly and adapt.
  • Understanding of export and project finance; experience with Export Credit Agencies preferred.
  • Results-oriented, independent, and execution-focused.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments, with strong organizational skills.
  • Relationship management skills.
  • European language skills are a plus.
  • Sector-specific knowledge is preferred.
