Export Administrator Job Description

We are currently looking for an Export Administrator to join a well-established chemical manufacturer based in the Midlands, supplying products on a global scale. This role offers the opportunity to join a developing team at an exciting time, committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a sound understanding of export documentation, international trade, and customs regulations.
  2. Represent the company's principles and values in every customer interaction, ensuring it is friendly, professional, and efficient.
  3. Proactively ensure customers are well-informed from initial contact through to completion.
  4. Handle customer queries, resolve complaints, and follow protocols to process transactions according to company policies.
  5. Process customer orders, ensuring correct costs are applied, and document packs are prepared.
  6. Discuss export inquiries, transportation and dispatch options, and clearly explain overall costs.

Experience Required:

  1. Experience working in a fast-paced export administration role, demonstrating excellent communication skills both over the phone and through computer systems.
  2. Good understanding of exports, documentation, transport options, and order management.
  3. Experience with SAP software is essential.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately when processing orders.
