Job summary

We Do Social Work seeks an experienced leader to deliver the Experts at Hand SEND reform, mobilising a new multidisciplinary service model across education, health and wider services. You will translate vision into delivery, and build strong partnerships to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

The role is fixed-term maternity-cover until 31 March 2027, offering a competitive salary and opportunities to shape practice and policy across partner organisations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience working within SEND, education, health or local authority services.
  • Proven track record of leading service development and delivering organisational change.
  • Strong partnership-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience translating strategic priorities into operational delivery.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing abilities.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

We Do Social Work Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead the implementation of an innovative SEND reform programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new multidisciplinary model of support, improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, and make a lasting impact across education services.


The Role

As the Experts at Hand Lead, you will take responsibility for the mobilisation, implementation and early delivery of a new SEND support model. Working collaboratively with senior leaders and multi-agency partners, you will ensure the successful development of a sustainable, high-quality service that strengthens inclusive practice and supports early intervention.


This is a strategic leadership role requiring someone who can translate vision into operational delivery while building strong partnerships across education, health and wider services.


Key Responsibilities
