Job Description:

As a Technical Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the facility's equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance strategies, troubleshoot major breakdowns, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your strong technical expertise will be crucial in managing both GMP and non-GMP equipment, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing effective corrective actions. Although this role doesn’t have direct reports, it is considered a leadership position, requiring someone with strong leadership attributes who takes accountability, drives action, and works collaboratively.

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical leadership of specific areas, responsible for equipment performance and improvement. Collaborate with the Operations team and lead efforts of assigned technical resources as applicable.
  • Leading comprehensive root cause analyses for equipment failures and implementing effective corrective and preventative measures.
  • Designing, executing, and continuously improving maintenance programs and standard operating procedures to optimize equipment performance.
  • Utilizing advanced reliability-centered, predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring tools to ensure asset excellence.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with service providers, including regular supplier evaluations.
  • Preferred: Completed engineering apprenticeship with further education to HNC/D or postgraduate level.
  • Strong computer literacy, excellent communication skills, and change management experience.
  • Experience in a similar manufacturing role, preferably in pharma or food industries.
  • Proactive, action-oriented self-starter with influencing and negotiation skills.
