A leading company in the pharmaceutical field is seeking an Expert Scientific Writer for a 6-month contract, extendable, based in the UK or Ireland. The successful candidate will manage high-quality medical communication projects within a multinational organization, focusing on various therapeutic areas and delivering critical documents and presentations. Candidates are expected to have significant experience in medical communications and a minimum science degree.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Expert Scientific Writer – Medical / Pharma

Contract role – 6 months, extendable

Rate = €450-550 per day (Ireland based) or £400-500pd (UK based) DOE

Location: UK or Ireland based candidates only. Hybrid or Remote working.

NO SPONSORSHIP provided, so you MUST hold UK citizenship OR EU/EEA citizenship or have existing full rights to work in Ireland or UK.

Role: Medical Communications scientific writer for internal med comms team of a multinational pharmaceutical organization. Responsibilities include managing and delivering high-quality medical communication projects such as publications, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide sets, satellite symposia content, congress or advisory board reports, and educational materials.

Requirements:

• Science degree at minimum; preferably MSc, PhD, PharmD, or MD
• At least 5+ years of experience in medical communications
• Experience in scientific writing across various medical communication deliverables
• Expertise in medical/scientific/therapeutic content, especially in areas like Oncology, Neurology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Hematology
• Ability to interpret and apply clinical data in communications
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication, writing, and listening skills
