Job summary

A multinational pharmaceutical organization is seeking an Expert Scientific Writer for its internal medical communications team. This contract role (6 months, extendable) involves managing deliverables across a range of scientific writing content, engaging with clinical data, and creating materials aimed at medical and clinical teams. Candidates must have a strong background in medical writing with at least 5 years of experience and hold UK or EU/EEA citizenship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years experience in medical communications.
• Education qualification - Science degree as a minimum & preferably Masters or PhD.
• Medical / Scientific knowledge and understanding of relevant content.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete assigned Medical Communications deliverables.
• Develop various content for publications, manuscripts, posters, and reports.
• Ensure high-quality standards and adherence to timelines.

Expert Scientific Writer required for internal med comms (Medical Communications) team of a Multinational Pharmaceutical Organisation. Your role will be to manage and complete assigned Medical Communications deliverables at high quality standards and in accordance with agreed timelines. Projects include publications, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide sets, satellite symposia content, congress or advisory board reports, publication planning & medical education materials for internal medical and/or clinical teams.

Experience required:

• Education Qualification - Science degree as a minimum & preferably Masters of PhD qualified (MSc, PhD, PharmD or MD)
• Extensive experience – Minimum of 5+ years experience in medical communications essential
• Range of Scientific writing content deliverables across med comms areas listed above
• Medical writer / Medical or Healthcare Scientific writing expertise
• Specific command of medical therapeutic areas (medical/scientific/therapeutic area content) for publications and materials
• Proven ability to Interpret and apply clinical data in medical communication deliverables
• Medical / Scientific knowledge & understanding of relevant content created
• Fluent English (both written and spoken)
• Exceptional communication, writing and listening skills
