Qualifications

• An experienced and enthusiastic primary teacher with strong Year 6 experience.
• A creative and reflective practitioner committed to excellent teaching and learning.
• Committed to inclusion and ensuring every child feels valued and able to participate fully.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, engaging and purposeful teaching across the Year 6 curriculum.
• Have high expectations of every child and ensure that all pupils are supported to make strong progress.
• Prepare pupils effectively for the transition to secondary school, building their confidence, independence and resilience.
• Use assessment effectively to identify needs, address misconceptions and maximise progress.
• Create a calm, positive and stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe to take risks and enjoy learning.
• Develop pupils' reading, writing and mathematical skills, enabling them to apply their knowledge confidently.
• Deliver a broad and creative curriculum that encourages curiosity, enquiry and a love of learning.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic achievement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of our school.
• Year 6 is an exciting and important year with opportunities to develop leadership and independence.
