About the Role:

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities on-site. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site checks to ensure that designs and installations are set out with precision and accuracy.
  • Have a ‘Hands On’ approach and be willing to carry out manual tasks as may be required by the likes of a joinery tradesman.
  • Interpret and verify technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Maintain robust site security and manage the protection of completed works, materials, and plant.
  • Supervise, lead, and coordinate on-site labour and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the design team and attend regular project progress meetings.
  • Strategically plan and organise site logistics, resources, and equipment to meet project deadlines efficiently.
  • Oversee site health and safety and enforce a positive safety culture.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues swiftly, communicating effectively with senior management.
  • Ensure all materials meet specified standards and monitor supply chain deliveries and storage on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, site progress, and stock usage.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by senior management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree or HND in Construction Management or significant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ proven experience in site management on large-scale projects.
  • Valid CSR/CSCS card at management level.
  • In-depth understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and identify cost efficiencies.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule while upholding quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise across all levels of a project.
