Job summary

The Boxford in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Waiter/Waitress to join our team and deliver an exceptional dining experience for every guest. You will be expected to know the menu inside out, guide guests through choices, and maintain service standards with grace and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Leaving Cert level education or above.
• NVQ qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to display a real passion for food, beverage and customer service.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Hands on and proactive approach.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional Service: Provide attentive and personalised service to ensure a flawless dining experience to our guests.
• Menu Knowledge: Know our menu well, including ingredients and cooking techniques, to help guests with their choices.
• Presentation: Serve dishes with style, pour wine accurately, and create memorable dining moments.
• Teamwork: Work well with your colleagues to ensure a smooth service.
• Upselling: Recommend featured items, drinks, and wine pairings to enhance guests' experiences.
• Stay Cool: Handle high-pressure situations calmly, professionally and refer them to the line manager, if necessary.
