Purely Recruitment Solutions Ltd. Swindon is seeking an Experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join a family-run dealership.

This full-time, permanent role offers hands-on diagnostics, quality workmanship and a clear path for career progression. Key responsibilities include servicing, repairs, diagnostics and documenting job cards to manufacturer standards, working with a range of used vehicles, and maintaining health and safety and workshop quality.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician / Mechanic with NVQ 2 or 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in either a main dealer or independent garage.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities.
• High attention to detail with a "right first time" approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and fault-finding to manufacturer standards.
• Work across a wide range of used vehicles from various brands.
• Accurately complete job cards and digital workshop documentation.
• Communicate faults clearly with the service team and advise on necessary repairs.
• Maintain health & safety, housekeeping, and quality control standards.
• Work collaboratively with a close-knit workshop team to meet daily targets.
