Job summary

Gerrards Cross is the location for an Experienced Technician role advertised by a private franchised OEM dealer group. Salary ranges from £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, with a focus on experienced car technicians.

Key responsibilities include servicing to manufacturer guidelines, diagnostics, eHVC reporting, and collaboration with service advisors. MOT experience is advantageous; level 3 qualification preferred, with potential for upskilling to Level 2.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified vehicle technician with a full UK driving license; Level 2 considered for upskilling.
• MOT experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Outstanding organisation and time management with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Undertake diagnostic activities to identify causes and solutions for customer vehicle issues.
• Conduct electronic visual health checks (eHVC) and provide a detailed report with recommendations.
• Liaise with service advisors and workshop team members.
• Ensure servicing activities are safe and high-quality per internal and manufacturer requirements.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to keep knowledge up to date.
