Job summary

The Best Connection Walsall are seeking an experienced Tool Maker for a permanent day shift role in the Walsall area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual looking to join a well-established manufacturing business.

You'll manufacture, maintain and repair tooling, read engineering drawings, and operate a range of manual machine tools. Competitive hourly pay of £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, with immediate interviews available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool Maker in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of toolroom machinery and equipment.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, maintain and repair tooling to a high standard.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate manual machine tools including milling machines, lathes and grinders.
• Carry out tool modifications and improvements to support production.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling issues efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tool Maker within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of toolroom machinery and equipment.
• Experience with tool maintenance, repairs and modifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
