FieldCore is seeking an Electrical Excitation Field Engineer to join our Field Operations team in Europe. Role Overview

The Electrical Excitation Technical Field Advisor will be responsible for the Power Turbine Generator Excitation System, managing costs, quality control, and safeguarding turbine modules, tools, accessories, and spare parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety standards and ensure technical compliance within GE safety protocols.
  • Plan pre-outage activities and installation procedures.
  • Lead retrofit projects involving excitation systems, generator protection, and power stabilization systems.
  • Support warranty issues and troubleshooting.
  • Provide accurate reports and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Support business growth and technical documentation processes.
  • Configure and modify software/hardware related to turbine excitation systems.
  • Perform start-up/shut-down sequences and turbine operations.

Special Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in electrical excitation systems and successful installation/outage support.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and troubleshoot hands-on.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and software tools supporting HMI and application modifications.
  • Educational background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred but extensive experience is highly valued.
