Dimensions Group is seeking dedicated support workers to provide 24/7 assistance in a person-centred role. You will join a 2:1 staffing team to help the client live independently, attend appointments, and enjoy activities. A full UK driving licence and comfort with driving an automatic car are essential.
We value flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn as you support the client with daily tasks, social events, and travel in the community.
As I receive support 24 hours a day, you'll need to be flexible and reliable, as shift patterns vary depending on my plans, activities and appointments., If you use assistive technology or require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, we are committed to supporting you where we can. Please let us know in advance so we can ensure appropriate arrangements are in place
FULL UK/ EU Driving License is essential for this role - Confident Driving Automatic Vehicle, I'm looking for someone who's confident, friendly and loves a good chat. I enjoy having a laugh with the people who support me, so if you're someone who can bring energy, conversation and a sense of fun to your day, we'll get along great!
It helps if we have some shared interests too. I love going to the theatre, playing bingo, attending pop concerts (I'm a proud 90s baby!), playing Crash Bandicoot on the PlayStation, spending time with animals, and watching football - yes, girls like football too. If you enjoy any of those things, that's a definite bonus.
I'm not concerned about whether you're male or female. What's most important to me is finding someone who is kind, open-minded and willing to build a genuine connection.
I'd also love someone who is adventurous and happy to step outside their comfort zone. I have big ambitions and lots of goals I want to achieve, and I'd like my support team to be excited about helping me make them happen. One of my dreams is to take a hot air balloon ride! On a day-to-day basis, I enjoy support workers who aren't afraid to join in, have a dance, sing along at concerts and share in the fun.
Supporting me can sometimes come with its challenging moments, so you'll need to be resilient, patient and able to remain calm and positive when things don't go to plan. Building a consistent, trusting relationship with me is really important.
You'll also need to be flexible and reliable. I receive support 24 hours a day, so shift patterns can vary, and being part of a dependable team is essential to helping me live the life I choose.
I'm looking for someone who is committed to learning and developing their skills. You'll need to be willing to complete a range of training so you can understand my needs, provide the best possible support and help me achieve my goals.
I share my home with my very fluffy and friendly cat, Susie, who is an important part of my life. Because of this, you'll need to be comfortable around cats and not have any cat allergies. Susie loves attention and cuddles, and you'll earn extra brownie points if you're happy to help me keep her looking her best!
