Underwood s Steel Stockholders & Fabrications in Worcestershire is seeking an experienced steel fabricator and welder for a full-time, on-site role. You will read and interpret technical drawings, cut steel to specification, and fabricate components using shop machinery, including MIG/TIG/arc welding to ensure structural integrity.

Daily duties include maintaining equipment, following health and safety procedures, and collaborating with colleagues to meet project deadlines while loading,

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications.
• MIG/TIG/arc welding to produce strong, accurate welds.
• Cutting, drilling, forming steel components to specification.
• Use of workshop tools and machinery with strict safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Trades certification or apprenticeship is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Read drawings, measure and cut steel to spec.
• Fabricate components using appropriate machinery.
• Weld components and assemble completed structures.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to health & safety procedures.
• Assist with loading, unloading and stock organisation.
• Work to meet production deadlines.
