Our ward Nightingale Ward have a group of skilled experienced nurses and nurse specialists. They are a vibrant team of people who look out for each other as much as we do our patients.
We manage the emergency general surgical pathways and a variety of short stay benign cases. This involves complex pre and post op surgical and medical care, managing both the physical and psychological changes for our patients, we also follow enhanced recovery pathways to reduce the length of stay. Whilst maintaining a high standard of care to ensure a safe discharge we work together with a large multidisciplinary team who all play a pivotal role in the care of our patients.
