Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Pre and Post Birth Team in London. This full-time, permanent role offers £45,123.00 to £50,676.00 annually and the chance to support children and families across diverse communities.

You will work with a Practice Manager and a small team, mentor newly qualified workers, and ensure safeguarding and legal standards are met. This role provides meaningful professional growth and a rewarding context in which to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide an outstanding social work service to children, young people and families to safeguard and support them at home where possible.
• Respond to challenges and pressures faced by agencies working with vulnerable children, young people and complex families.
• Work directly with a Practice Manager and a small, focused team of professionals committed to excellence in social work practice.
• Deliver high-standard social work within defined legal frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Mentor and guide newly qualified social workers while supervising the practice of less experienced colleagues.
• Engage with a broad spectrum of professionals, balancing support and control in managing complex situations and higher risk.
