Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Service Area: Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and Care Proceedings

We are seeking passionate and skilled social workers with at least two years’ post-qualification experience to manage complex cases and provide guidance to less experienced team members. About the Role As a Social Worker within our Family Support Services, you will:

• Manage a complex caseload involving high levels of risk, uncertainty and challenge.
• Mentor and support the development of newly qualified and less experienced Social Workers.
• Work within statutory frameworks and Bedford Borough Council’s policies and procedures.
• Engage directly with children, young people and their families to assess needs, plan interventions and deliver targeted support.
• Model best practice in line with the vision and aims of our service.
