Job summary

Tripod Partners is recruiting on behalf of Nottingham City Council for an Experienced Social Worker in the Children's Social Care – Duty and Assessment team in Nottingham. The post offers a full-time temporary contract with a salary of up to £37.50 per hour and a strong safeguarding focus to improve outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Three years' post-qualifying experience in children's social care.
• Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities and their families.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and undertake high-quality assessments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children, young people and families in line with statutory requirements and council policies.
• Complete high-quality assessments, care plans and reviews within required timescales.
• Undertake statutory visits and maintain accurate case records.
• Work effectively with children, young people, parents, carers and wider family networks.
• Support children and young people with disabilities and their families, ensuring their needs are central to planning.
• Safeguard children and respond to identified risks and concerns.
• Work within Child in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children procedures.
• Collaborate with education, health, police and other professionals.
• Analyse complex information and make sound, evidence-based professional decisions.
• Promote positive outcomes, stability, safety and wellbeing for children and young people.
• Maintain professional standards in line with Social Work England requirements and relevant legislation.
