Oldham Council is seeking an Experienced Social Worker for the Older People’s Mental Health Team in Oldham. You will manage a caseload, undertake assessments, develop care and support plans, and complete reviews, including Section 117.
You’ll work in a supportive multidisciplinary environment with CPD opportunities and a focus on professional development. The role offers a permanent contract, 36.66 hours per week, and a salary of £39,152–£42,839 per annum.

Working within Oldham Council’s Older People’s Mental Health Team. You will be working within a specialist multi-disciplinary team supporting people with a severe and enduring mental health condition. To have responsibility for a caseload and fulfilling statutory duties such as undertaking assessments, developing care & support plans, and completing reviews, including Section 117 reviews. To continue to develop professionally, and be accountable for the delivery of, and promote, excellent social work practice.
We are a friendly team who prioritise team cohesion and wellbeing, having monthly supervisions, team meetings and peer reflective sessions. We also support CPD, providing protected time, with a commitment to support people through AMHP, BIA, Practice Educator, and Leadership Programmes.
