We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral to assist with the appointment of an Experienced Social Worker, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £24.88 - £32.47 per Hour

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join our dedicated Families and Wellbeing team. As part of our commitment to providing high-quality support and safeguarding services, you will independently manage a caseload, undertake complex assessments, and collaborate with multi-agency teams to secure positive outcomes for children, adults, families, and carers.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake community care and safeguarding assessments for complex or unusual cases.
  • Provide critical information and support to individuals, families, carers, and communities to improve quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, prepare reports, and present evidence in court when required.
  • Act as a source of expert advice within your team and across the organisation.
  • Liaise with multi-agency teams to ensure a seamless, person-centred service.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification e.g. DipSW).
  • HCPC Registration (or relevant regulatory body registration).
  • Evidence of continued professional development in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF).
  • Completion of relevant post-qualifying or vocational training courses.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in social work.
  • Experience working in multi-agency settings.
  • Proven experience working with carers and families.
  • Direct involvement in statutory social work practices including assessment, planning, safeguarding, and court proceedings.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
