Job summary

Career Smart Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced SMT Technician for its electronics manufacturing team on the outskirts of Aylesbury. This hands-on role involves operating the full SMT line from paste printing to AOI, reflow and final inspection, ensuring high quality and strict ESD controls.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' SMT experience, soldering and rework skills, and experience handling PCBA orders end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of SMT production experience.
• Hands-on experience across SMT line stages: solder paste printing, SPI, pick and place, reflow, AOI.
• Ability to run PCBA works orders end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of ESD practices and EPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate the complete SMT production line independently from start to finish (paste printing, SPI, pick and place, reflow, AOI).
• Process PCBA works orders end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Review AOI results, classify defects and address manufacturing issues.
• Perform soldering and PCB rework to a high standard when required.
• Inspect completed PCB assemblies for quality before progression.
• Maintain a clean, organised EPA and ensure ESD controls are followed.
