We are looking for an experienced Sign Maker and Installer to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Cardiff) to help us create and install a wide and exciting range of signage.

The perfect candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, be able to maintain our high standards of workmanship and quality, be self-motivated and be a good role model for the rest of the team. • Location: Signs Express (Cardiff)
• Salary: From £27,000 per year dependent on experience
• Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday
• Travel: A full, clean driving licence and own transport is essential for local travel

About Us:

Duties Include:

• Installing all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs.
• Ensuring all installations are completed on time, to budget and to our usual high standards.
• Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
• Application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles and window graphics.
• Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
• Operate and maintain large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminators.
• Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are fitted safely and securely.
• Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
• Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
• Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.
• Assisting in-house production staff when required.

What we would like from you:

• A minimum of 2 years' industry experience making and installing a wide range of signage solutions.
• Experience in use of wide format printers, vinyl plotters and laminators together with a strong understanding of signage and manufacturing techniques is essential.
• Proven experience in a sign fitting role is absolutely necessary, encompassing vehicle graphics application, panel application, installation and use of relevant software packages.
• You will have a positive, can-do attitude, be well organised and be able to work alone as well as part of our team.
• Good working knowledge of design and RIP software.
• The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
• IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations (desirable but not essential).
• Professional, flexible, enthusiastic individual, a strong communicator, well organised and be able to work alone, as well as part of a team.
• An understanding of the importance of health & safety.
• You will have the use of our company vehicles, with all tools, uniform and PPE also being provided.
