Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in the Cradley Heath area. This is a long-term position with an immediate start, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
Monitor and report on pupil progress and development
Assist with personal care if required
Requirements:
Proven experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, ideally within a Primary setting
Strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (desirable)
