Job description

Rainham Steel have an exciting opportunity for Experienced Rebar Machine Operatives to join the team.

Location: Althorpe Wharf, Scunthorpe, DN17 3DA

Salary: From GBP700 per week (From GBP16.50/hr). Plus Overtime (Time and a half)

Working hours: 6am - 3.30pm, 42.5 hour Per week (Monday to Friday)

Rainham Steel is a leading UK steel stockholder and have opened a reinforcement processing facility at Althorpe Wharf, Scunthorpe.

Experienced Rebar Machine Operatives Key Responsibilities:

- Operating automatic bending (stirrup) machines (Schnell, MEP, Pedax)

- Operating shearlines (Schnell)

- Operating automatic de-coilers and multi-function rebar machines (Schnell, MEP, Pedax)

- Using manual bending machines (Schnell)

- Operating overhead cranes

- Assemble bundles for packing

- Carrying out safety and maintenance checks, while maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

- Reporting to the production manager

- Manual handling of products is required in all job roles

- Other tasks as required due to business needs

Experienced Rebar Machine Operatives - You:

- Experience is mandatory, attention to detail and a willingness to learn various skills is crucial

- The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and punctuality

- Organised and motivated

- The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and prioritize safety throughout the workday

- The candidate will also be flexible to undertake paid overtime when required
