Job summary

Envision Education is seeking an Experienced Qualified Teaching Assistant to join primary schools in Gerrards Cross and surrounding areas. You will support teachers with lessons, provide one-to-one and small-group help, and assist pupils with their learning and wellbeing.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification or above, prior school experience, and the ability to commute to Gerrards Cross. Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, term-time and beyond depending on schools’ calendars.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is essential.

Experienced Qualified Teaching Assistant - Gerrards Cross

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:30pm | Level 3 Qualification Essential

Envision Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Qualified Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools in Gerrards Cross and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who already have a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification and practical experience supporting pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.

We are looking for confident, proactive and reliable individuals who can work effectively alongside teachers, provide high-quality classroom support and help pupils reach their full potential.

Candidates with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), additional learning needs or social, emotional and behavioural difficulties would be particularly desirable.

The Role

As an Experienced Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and other school staff to support pupils throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support.
• Supporting pupils with their individual learning requirements.
• Assisting children with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Helping pupils understand and complete classroom tasks.
• Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining classroom expectations.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson preparation.
• Monitoring pupils' engagement and progress.Providing emotional and pastoral support where required.
• Helping create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other school professionals.

What We're Looking For

• A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent relevant qualification - essential.
• Level 4 or higher qualifications would be advantageous.
• Previous experience working within a school setting - essential.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children.
• Strong understanding of children's learning and development.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A confident, patient and proactive approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Strong organisational skills.
• A reliable, professional and committed attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
• Able to commute to Gerrards Cross and the surrounding areas.
