QED Legal in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join our established Yorkshire practice. You will manage a broad private client caseload, including wills, probate, trusts and estate planning, with hybrid working available.

You will advise high-net-worth individuals, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to business development. The role offers genuine autonomy, a loyal client base and clear opportunities for progression within a supportive, collaborative

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX with significant private client experience.
• Strong knowledge across wills, probate, trusts and estate planning.
• STEP qualification or working towards STEP advantageous.
• Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of private client matters including wills and estate planning.
• Advise on lasting powers of attorney, probate, trust creation and administration.
• Handle Court of Protection matters and inheritance tax planning.
• Develop and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client specialist looking to take on a varied and high-quality caseload within a supportive and collaborative environment. The Role

You will manage a broad range of private client matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate and estate administration
• Trust creation and administration
• Court of Protection matters
• Inheritance Tax and succession planning
• Advising high-net-worth individuals and families

The role offers genuine autonomy, the opportunity to mentor junior team members, and involvement in business development activities.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with significant Private Client experience
• Strong technical knowledge across wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
• STEP qualification or working towards STEP would be advantageous
