Job Description:

Pulse’s Phlebotomy Team is recruiting experienced Phlebotomists/Healthcare Support Workers for full-time roles in the Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire area.

The roles involve providing Phlebotomy & Healthcare Research services locally. Candidates must have at least 1 year’s experience in drawing blood and proof of competency as a phlebotomist.

This program is expanding, seeking new candidates for its next phase.

Position: Phlebotomist/Healthcare Support Worker
Location: Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire
Hours: 2-3 days per week, varying shifts
Duration: Ongoing
Essential skills:

• Recent phlebotomy experience (minimum 12 months)
• Proof of competency
• Driving license beneficial due to mobile sites

We seek experienced phlebotomists with HCA experience, available to work 2-3 days weekly in a 7-day service. Working hours are 7.30am – 6.30pm, with Sunday hours 10.30am – 5pm.

The position is available now until June 2024, with potential site locations including Amersham, Wokingham, and others. Sites are mobile, rotating every 4-5 weeks, so driving ability is advantageous.

Pay rate up to £20/hour (umbrella rate) plus weekend enhancements.

Main responsibilities:

• Complete POCT cholesterol checks and record data
• Draw and label two blood samples per participant
• Monitor participant welfare and escalate issues
• Provide signposting, advice, and guidance
• Prepare samples for courier pickup

Essential requirements:

• Recent phlebotomy experience (minimum 12 months)
• Willingness to register with our agency
