Job Description:

Your new company
Our client is a Top 20 law firm with offices across the globe. They are currently recruiting Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives or Experienced Paralegals to join their market-leading Fraud team nationwide. This role offers office-based, hybrid or remote working, but you will need to come into their Birmingham office once a month or for training and client events as required.
Your new role
In this role, you'll take full ownership of a caseload of predominantly litigated claims, primarily focused on RTA, EL/PL, and credit hire matters, all of which carry fraud concerns. These cases will be managed under both Delegated and Non-Delegated authority agreements, with appropriate levels of supervision depending on complexity and client requirements. A key part of your responsibility will be investigating and defending against exaggerated or fabricated claims, staged accidents, and organised fraud. This will involve liaising directly with clients, interviewing witnesses, analysing evidence, instructing intelligence teams, and developing robust defence strategies.
You will be joining an award-winning fraud team, known for defending complex pre-litigated and litigated insurance claims. The team takes a proactive, collaborative approach to tackling fraudulent activity, working closely with clients and law enforcement agencies to investigate and challenge organised fraud.
You'll investigate and defend against exaggerated or fabricated claims, staged accidents, and organised fraud-liaising with clients, interviewing witnesses, analysing evidence, and instructing intelligence teams. You'll ensure compliance with client SLAs and internal protocols, maintain strong financial oversight, and meet billing and chargeable hour targets. The role also involves building internal and external networks, staying aligned with firm strategy, and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, along with accurate data handling and reporting.
What you'll need to succeed You'll need to be a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or an experienced Paralegal with a solid foundation in personal injury and insurance litigation. Experience handling RTA, EL/PL, credit hire, and vehicle hire claims will be highly beneficial. While fraud expertise is a plus, comprehensive training will be provided to equip you in defending fraudulent insurance claims. A strong grasp of the Civil Procedure Rules, excellent analytical and investigative abilities, and confident negotiation and communication skills are essential.
What you'll get in return
This is a great opportunity to join a top firm where you can enjoy the flexibility of remote working and a competitive salary. Training will be provided. The role offers high levels of flexibility and a great work-life balance, a well-rounded remuneration package (which includes private medical insurance, income protection insurance and discounted gym membership, amongst many other benefits) and opportunities for growth and progression, including professional funding.
