Job summary

Westray Recruitment is seeking experienced Painters to support a short-term decorating project at a site in Killingworth. The role offers an immediate start with working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, dedicated to completing the work before the event on 17 September 2026.

Ideal candidates will have proven painting experience, deliver a high standard of finish, and be reliable and punctual. On-site PPE is provided, and all painting equipment is supplied for the duration of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Previous professional painting or decorating experience.
• Ability to produce a high standard of finish.
• Reliable, punctual and able to start immediately.
• Available for the duration of the assignment.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces before painting.
• Applying paint using brushes and rollers.
• Completing general painting and decorating work.
• Protecting surrounding fixtures, floors and work areas.
• Ensuring a clean, neat and consistent finish.
• Keeping working areas tidy and organised.
• Completing the required work within the agreed timeframe.
