Experienced New Build Conveyancer

The Opportunity

TSR Legal is excited to partner with a well-established law firm, renowned for its excellence in the property sector and a wide range of legal services. The firm is looking to expand its Residential New Homes department and is seeking an experienced New Build Conveyancer to join its team in Gloucester. This is a great opportunity for a proactive and organised professional to play a key role in supporting clients purchasing new build homes from national housebuilders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day conduct of new build property transactions, including purchases, related sales, and part-exchanges

• Supervise support staff and assist in the smooth running of the team, particularly during busy periods or in the absence of senior staff members

• Assist senior members of the department with complex case files and support the team in times of high demand, such as during holiday or sickness absences

• Maintain professional standards by adhering to the office manual and best practices to prevent claims against the firm

• Deliver excellent client service by acting promptly, efficiently, and proactively to meet client needs and expectations

• Achieve agreed billing targets and comply with all departmental procedures, including client account management and control

• Stay up to date with developments in property law and attend relevant professional development sessions

• Contribute to the overall development and improvement of your expertise and the quality of your work

• Foster good working relationships with colleagues and maintain a co-operative and positive team attitude

• Provide mentorship to junior team members and assist in their development

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE)

• Have previous experience working with new build transactions and a strong understanding of property law

• Possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrate the ability to supervise and support junior members of the team

• Be detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong focus on providing high-quality client service

• Be IT literate and proficient in the use of case management and other legal software

• Show the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
