Du Pont (U.K.) Industrial Limited, known for manufacturing Kevlar yarn, is seeking an experienced Engineer f/m based in Maydown, Derry / Londonderry.

The successful candidate will be part of a team leading continuous improvement initiatives through evidence-based analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with company Safety, Health & Environment standards and procedures.
  • Develop and troubleshoot processes supporting Kevlar yarn production. Monitor and manage process variables for efficiency.
  • Lead and participate in front-end loading of capital projects.
  • Conduct Process Hazards Analyses (PHAs) for existing or new processes.
  • Apply knowledge of technology to define and implement solutions for Process Safety Management, growth, and improvement projects.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis investigations.
  • Provide daily operational support.
Essential Criteria:
  • BEng degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Legal right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in polymer or chemical processing environments.
