Job description

Hampton Earthmoving, a locally owned and operated earthmoving company based in Rakaia, is seeking a skilled and reliable machine operator to join our small, dedicated team. This is a full-time, immediate start position ideal for someone with hands-on experience and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a range of heavy machinery, including diggers, graders, and trucks, on various earthworks projects.
• Assist with concrete placing, engineering, and building work as required.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Proven experience operating heavy machinery in earthworks.
• Valid Class 4 minimum.
• WTR endorsements - Ideal but not necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, Ministry of Justice check and ACC check.
