As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence. Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Use a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods to support progress and attainment.
  • Encourage independent learning and critical thinking skills among pupils.
Pupil Progress & Assessment
  • Regularly assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Identify and implement appropriate interventions for pupils requiring additional support.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil performance and contribute to reports for parents and school leadership.
Classroom & Behaviour Management
  • Establish clear expectations for behaviour and create a respectful and supportive learning environment.
  • Implement the school's behaviour policies effectively, fostering a culture of respect and responsibility.
  • Promote positive relationships with pupils, ensuring they feel motivated and valued.
Collaboration & Professional Development
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong partnerships that support pupil learning and well-being.
