As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence. Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners in line with the National Curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and assessment methods to support progress and attainment.
- Encourage independent learning and critical thinking skills among pupils.
Pupil Progress & Assessment
- Regularly assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
- Identify and implement appropriate interventions for pupils requiring additional support.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil performance and contribute to reports for parents and school leadership.
Classroom & Behaviour Management
- Establish clear expectations for behaviour and create a respectful and supportive learning environment.
- Implement the school's behaviour policies effectively, fostering a culture of respect and responsibility.
- Promote positive relationships with pupils, ensuring they feel motivated and valued.
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Engage with parents and carers to build strong partnerships that support pupil learning and well-being.
School Contribution
- Take part in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities to enhance the student experience.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally in Key Stage 2.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for fostering a love of learning and high aspirations for all pupils.
